Adhesive masking film: our tips to get a good-looking result

Ideal for quickly and easily masking both large and small surfaces whilst creating precise razor-sharp lines, an adhesive masking film is the best partner of a painter.
This kind of masking film is the perfect protection for any surface of the house, but do you know exactly how to use it to achieve the best results?
Before applying adhesive masking film on any surface, we suggest to pre-tape the borders with masking tape. Even if adhesive masking film already has masking tape in it. Yes, because it makes de-masking a lot easier, pulling off everything very quickly, and it will cling to the surface even easier.
Don’t worry to leave residues or take away paint, because our tapes won’t do it, we promise.

Apply tape on borders first (Q1 Precision Line works fine) and make sure to follow the lines without leaving space between the wall and the window.
When it gets to mask corners, the situation is critical. We suggest to overlap on the window sill and cut for a nice sharp clean edge, just like this.
Pro tip: use the piece you cut to fill the gaps on the top corners, the most difficult to reach.
Once you’re done, take your adhesive masking film, place it on the top of your window (make it stick to the masking tape) and unfold the film until you cover it all. Secure it on the bottom and all around with masking tape.
Perfectly covered in a blink of an eye.
The same process can be repeated on doors, both outdoor or indoor.
What about glass panel doors? You only have to think smaller and repeat, repeat, repeat for each section you want to stay clean.

If you have to make a restyling of a cabinet, place the masking tape in the sections you don’t need to paint, then place the film on top and unfold, just like the previous examples we gave you.
If you have to protect the whole cupboards, maybe because you have to paint ceiling and walls, start from the very top of your cupboard and unfold the film until you completely protect the furniture. Secure it on the bottom with masking tape.
